Wine Country

Matt and I took one last vacation before Baby #2 arrives. We met up with Stuart and Rachel in San Francisco to celebrate Rachel's 30th Birthday. We also got to hang out with Jeremy and Kristen who live in San Fran and just found out they are having a baby boy in January. We spent Friday evening in San Francisco and then spent the day Saturday in Sonoma hopping from one winery to the next. We ended the night at Stuart's parents house in Marin with some steaks and wine. It was such a great weekend with great company!

Weekend in DFW

We spent this past weekend in DFW visiting my girl friends from college and their families. We stayed with Kathleen and got to meet her boyfriend Michael; D'Neal, Brad and their sons Clayton (5) and Chase (2); and on Saturday we went over to the Pritchett's house to visit Melissa, Paul and their 3 girls Reese (2), Alexis and Ellie (5 months). We spent a lot of time catching up and had such a good time. I'm so mad that I didn't get a group pic because who knows when we will all get together again!

Duncan's First Camp Luv-a-Lot

This year was Duncan's first year of Camp luv-a-lot. When my cousins and I were young, our grandparents took us camping every summer and we named it Camp Luv-a-Lot. Now that we all have kids of our own, our parents take all the grandchildren to continue the tradition.

Things are a little different now: we went for a week, they go for a weekend. We camped in a trailer, they stay at the lakehouse. Mammaw and Pappaw took 7 of us, now there are 8 grandparents with 9 grandchildren. We documented our trip with a few pictures from a film camera, they use their iphones and digital scrapbooks. We played Monopoly, they play on the jet skii's...... But all in all, the tradition of Camp Luv-a-lot has gone on over the last 25+ years and is still a great time for the cousins to all get together.

Busy, Busy July

Duncan was busy, busy these past few weeks and we can't believe how much he has accomplished. He started walking July 15th and hasn't stopped. It is so fun to see him more independent and he is so proud of himself. He has learned to throw the ball for Flynt

last weekend Anna came over to play. We got in a bath before bed.

Then, Morgan and Hanne came to stay with us. It was so much fun hanging out with them for a couple of days. Morgan is going to be such a good big sister. This is Morgan and Duncan at the Lifetime pool

Then we headed off to Albuquerque, but only after a short stop in Lubbock to check on the houses. Duncan was a hit on the plane where he said "hi" and "bye" to everyone as we entered and exited. He was so excited to see Grammy and Bobpa. Here is breakfast time with Grammy! The weather was so nice in Albuquerque we went to the zoo. We had been wanting to take Duncan because he is so into animals. He can make the sound of a duck, snake, lion and fish.

Then we got ready for the party. Nanny Janny gave me this phone - how did she know I loved phones so much?
Then we hurried back to Austin to make it to Mimi's 90th Birthday party!

whew! what a fun week it was!
